New Code of Practice “Transportation by Vessel to or from a Workplace in the Atlantic Canada Offshore Petroleum Industry”

The new joint Code of Practice “Transportation by Vessel to or from a Workplace in the Atlantic Canada Offshore Petroleum Industry,  2025 (CoP-TV)” has been published.

The CoP-TV provides practical and consistent information regarding occupational health and safety best practices, standards, and legislation for transportation of passengers by vessel to and from workplaces in the NS offshore area. The CoP-TV also addresses recent changes to the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator (CNSOER) regulatory framework and organization name.

The CoP-TV is considered a Code of Practice under sections 210.016 and 210.021 of the Accord Act, and the CNSOER’s Chief Safety Officer requires Operators and Employers to adopt this Code of Practice for their workplaces during authorized activities.

The CoP-TV document can be found on the CNSOER website under the Codes of Practice tab of our Legislation and Regulatory Instruments web page.

If you have any questions, please contact the CNSOER’s Chief Safety Officer at info@cnsoer.ca or 902-422-5588.
